There are two important bills regarding homeschooling currently being considered by the New York State Legislature:
A.1472: Sponsored by Assemblymember Carrie Woerner, this bill proposes a personal income tax credit of up to $2,400 for parents who homeschool their children.
S.7706 and A.2957: Sponsored by Senator Monica Martinez and Assemblymember Carrie Woerner, would make it easier for homeschoolers to get a letter of substantial equivalence from the public school.
